Question: Where is the best place to be in February 2017 if you are involved in GIS in North Carolina or are interested in getting involved?
Answer: The North Carolina GIS Conference and its 30th anniversary event, of course!
We are proud to release the conference website for you to learn more at www.ncgisconference.com
Our geospatial community will gather on February 22-24 at the Raleigh Convention Center to exchange ideas, hear great presentations, and learn about the latest developments in our technology. The conference attracted over 1,000+ registered attendees from North Carolina and across the United States in 2015 and we expect another great turnout in 2017. So whether you are planning to attend one of the Carolina URISA workshops on February 22, and/or the conference on February 23-24, be sure to register early.
Vendor exhibits are a cornerstone of the conference experience. The conference represents a tremendous opportunity for vendors to catch-up with existing clients and meet new ones in the beautiful and vibrant downtown location of the Raleigh Convention Center! As one of the largest state-run conferences vendor space tends to fill quickly. Exhibitors will be able to reserve time in the new Vendor Demo Theater where they can reserve a time-slot to showcase their products and expertise to conference attendees.
New this year will be the Vendor Demo Theater, where exhibitors can showcase their products and knowledge to conference attendees. The 30-minute time slots are available for free with a paid booth rental.
There is much more to come as the conference program takes shape. If you have any questions about registration, please contact Liz Foreman of CMC and Associates, the event management provider for the conference. She can be reached at lforeman@cmc-associates.com or 850-224-7775.
Please join us in Raleigh in February! We look forward to seeing you there! www.ncgisconference.com
