Each year CURISA offers a grant to help with GIS Day activities in the NC and SC region.
The chapter does this in order to help our members promote GIS and GIS Day events. CURISA offers these to be used at the event organizer’s discretion, although many use it either for refreshments or awards for best poster/presentation. The grant will be delivered as either a reimbursement of funds or a CURISA procured gift card of the recipient’s choice (if used for awards).
In order to qualify for the grant, the applicant’s GIS Day event must be registered at ESRI’s GIS Day and be for an event in North or South Carolina. In addition Carolina URISA membership is highly encouraged. The CURISA board members will evaluate the applications and determine which events will receive funding.
We would like to share your great work and encourage others in future years with your success story. If awarded, a written article about your event (photos encouraged) will be due by email December 5, 2014 to our board.
Please note we need to receive your response by October 31st
